We can say that Nintendo does not waste time! A week after the presentation of its new console, the Switch, the firm organized a new communication operation Wednesday night.
True to its format that has proved itself, it was during a Nintendo Direct Fire Emblem special that it was expressed. Nintendo was able to announce the next games of the saga.
To begin, a little surprise for fans of old opus: the second episode of the saga named Fire Emblem Gaiden, unpublished in the West, will be endowed with a remake on 3DS. This one will bear the sweet name of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia.
The release of this episode will be accompanied by the release of two Amiibo with the effigy of the main characters of the game. Note that this is the third remake of the saga. Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia will be released on 3DS on May 19, 2017.
Subsequently, Nintendo confirmed the development of an episode of the saga on Switch for 2018 without giving further details. The firm has however returned to Fire Emblem Warriors, the spin-off “musou” of the saga announced last week.
Besides broadcasting a newer version of the trailer already shown, we also had the announcement that the game is also in development for New 3DS.
This is not surprising since Hyrule Warriors, the episode “musou” of Zelda has also been entitled to his double grind lounge/laptop. The same team develops Fire Emblem Warriors and Hyrule Warriors.
First steps on smartphone
Finally, Nintendo was able to return to the episode for smartphone announced a few months ago. Called Fire Emblem Heroes, it will bring together the characters from all the episodes of the saga existing at present in an original story.
The game will look like a minimized version of the original games. His economic model will be based on the invocation of heroes who will come to your aid in battle. Fire Emblem Heroes was published on February 2, 2017, on Google Play and later on iPhone and iPad.
We can say that the saga has taken an unexpected turning since recently! His revival in 2012 with the episode Awakening – which was to be the swan song – imposed it as a strong license from the firm.
A true success story for a series of niches that the West has long been deprived of. Let’s bet that Nintendo will continue for a long time to make us live great battles!
As expected, the new free-to-play mobile game from Nintendo Fire Emblem Heroes is now available on Android and iOS.
Officially unveiled a few weeks ago via a Nintendo Direct, Fire Emblem Heroes is now available on iOS and Android devices. Adopting this time a more traditional free-to-play model with optional integrated purchases to the Pokémon GO, this Tactical RPG represents the new assault of Nintendo on tablets and smartphones after Super Mario Run.
Towards a new mobile success for Nintendo?
Like the main opus of the saga, such as Fire Emblem Awakening and Fire Emblem Fates which allowed the license to break into the West finally, Fire Emblem Heroes is a Tactical RPG. Thus, the player must summon and train heroes from all games in order to fight in turn-based battles based on squares.
In addition to the main scenario where two nations compete, the “Askr” Guardians and the Embla Empire, the title includes special cards, a training mode or an arena mode to confront other players (the game claims A permanent connection).
Finally, note that if the game seems to be worth your free time it will be treated more in detail in the next weeks in our Chronicle #LudumCare dedicated to (good) free games and f2p.
